The newly renovated Nordic Homeworx showroom and office space in Dubai is a thoughtfully designed environment that showcases Scandinavian design principles through a blend of natural materials, minimalist aesthetics, and functional elegance.

Founded in 1857 in the deep forests of southern Sweden, Kährs is one of the oldest and most respected flooring manufacturers globally. With a presence in over 70 countries, Kährs is renowned for its high-quality floors, combining a deep passion for craftsmanship with a focus on sustainability.

Overlooking Sheikh Zayed Road, the new showroom demonstrates the synergy between Nordic Homeworx and Styled Habitat. The renovation and expansion project encapsulated the essence of Scandinavian design, characterized by natural materials, subtle textures, and an abundance of natural light. The design team aimed to create an environment that is immersive and reflective of Nordic living aesthetics, allowing visitors to fully envision the experience of living with Kährs wood flooring.

The approach for the project is to create a sensory spatial environment that highlights the handcrafted Kährs wood flooring. The showroom's design features light oak, restrained materiality, and a desaturated color palette, resulting in a gallery-like atmosphere that evokes a sense of calm and inspiration. Warm whitewashed plaster and minimalist detailing emphasize the natural beauty of the wood, enhancing the showroom's openness and flow. This approach ensures that every element in the showroom is carefully considered to highlight the quality and craftsmanship of Kährs flooring, creating an inspiring environment for both designers and homeowners.

Upon entering, visitors are captivated by a window display that tells the rich history of Kährs, showcasing artifacts like the spinning jenny and original wooden toys, encased within a modern black wooden Scandinavian cabin. The varied display opportunities throughout the space allow visitors to appreciate the quality and craftsmanship of Kährs flooring, with high ceilings and large display panels facilitating engagement and idea exchange. Strategically placed workstations maximize natural light, while utility areas are pushed to the core of the building to maintain an open and inviting space. This design not only enhances functionality but also aligns with Kährs' commitment to sustainable practices.
