For Clients:

A one-to-one consultation is tailored for clients who may not be ready or able to hire Styled Habitat for a full interior design project but still seek expert guidance. During the 55-minute video session, we’ll discuss your design challenges, help you refine your ideas, and offer actionable recommendations that align with your vision. Whether you need advice on color schemes, furniture placement, or finishing touches, our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to bring your space to life.

For Entrepreneurs:

This consultation is perfect for aspiring creative entrepreneurs or those looking to elevate their design business. In a one-to-one session, you'll receive personalized mentorship on topics like starting a design practice, managing projects, client relations, and enhancing your design strategies. We’ll explore your current challenges, discuss what’s holding you back, and help you plan actionable steps to achieve your business goals. It’s an opportunity to gain insights from an experienced studio that understands the intricacies of the design industry.

2. How do I book a consultation?

Booking a consultation is simple. Visit our Services Page on our website, select your preferred date and time, and complete the booking process. You will receive an email reserving your selected date, and shortly after someone from our team will contact you to complete payment. Upon receiving the non-refundable payment you will receive a confirmation email with the Zoom video link.

All consultations are conducted directly with the Styled Habitat design team. The team brings a wealth of experience in crafting immersive spaces and a deep understanding of the interior design industry, making it an invaluable resource for clients and aspiring designers alike.

4. How do I connect to the video session?

Before the scheduled consultation, you will receive a link via email to join the Zoom video call where you will be met by Styled Habitat. From there, you'll be able to ask your prepared questions get feedback/advice, and show your space. There is no set structure for how you utilize your time; consultations are meant to be collaborative and tailored to your needs and tastes.

5. How long is a consultation session?

Each consultation session is 55 minutes long, providing ample time to discuss your design needs, career aspirations, or challenges, and receive actionable advice tailored to your situation.

6. What can I expect to accomplish during the consultation?

During the consultation, you can expect to gain clarity on your design goals, whether you’re working on your own space or looking to start or grow a design career. The consultation will provide expert advice, industry insights, and specific guidance that aligns with your needs, ensuring you leave with clear, actionable steps.

7. How do I prepare for my consultation?

To get the most out of your session, we recommend that you prepare any relevant materials beforehand, such as photos of your space, inspiration images, or questions about the industry. This will help the team provide you with the most effective and targeted advice.

8. What types of questions or topics are off-limits during a consultation?

While we are here to guide and support you on your design journey, there are certain topics and requests that may fall outside the scope of our consultations. These might include:

  • Sharing information on custom vendors, contractors, or personal contacts.

  • Providing precise measurements for your space.

  • Personally ordering items or overseeing any construction work.

  • Delivering tangible design assets beyond advice, such as CAD renderings or room mockups.

9. Can I book additional sessions if needed?

Yes, additional sessions can be booked if you need further guidance. Many clients and aspiring creative entrepreneurs choose to schedule follow-up consultations to ensure they are progressing effectively in their projects or careers.

10. Will I be able to ask follow-up questions after the consultation?               

To make the most of your consultation, we encourage you to prepare a list of questions and topics in advance. This way, you can maximize your time and ensure all your design needs are addressed. Please note that we do not share contact information before, during, or after the consultation. If you have additional questions or need further guidance, we recommend booking another consultation to continue the conversation.

11. Can I record or download the consultation?

By default, only the host (Styled Habitat) can record Zoom meetings, so you would need to request permission if you wish to record the session. It is up to SH to decide whether we are comfortable with this. Alternatively, you may record the audio using your mobile phone, but please ensure you ask for permission beforehand. 

Any recordings are strictly for personal, non-public, and non-commercial use, and must not be distributed. 

Please note that we cannot guarantee the recording will be saved or sent to you, as technical issues can sometimes prevent recordings from being saved.

12. What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your consultation, please do so at least 48 hours in advance to avoid charges. Please note that Styled Habitat does not offer refunds. However, clients may reschedule their sessions based on availability.
